Terms of Service

Welcome to Ebbin (“the App”, “we”, “us”). Ebbin is developed and operated by the Ebbin team, providing a study-management service built around Q&A-style notes (Library), spaced-repetition review (Recall), and community discussion (Forum). Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the App. By using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

The App provides the following core features. The exact feature set as offered in the App controls, and we may add, change, or remove features from time to time:

  • Library— create, edit, and organize personal notes in a Q&A format;
  • Recall — spaced-repetition review scheduling based on a memory-curve algorithm, with performance tracking;
  • Forum — discuss study content with other users, post and browse threads and comments;
  • Study reminders — push notifications reminding you to complete scheduled reviews.

The App offers both free and paid features. Where a feature requires payment (such as a subscription or in-app purchase), its content, price, and payment method will be clearly displayed in the App before you purchase. Purchases are generally processed through the App Store, Google Play, or a similar app store, and are also subject to that store’s own payment terms.

2. Account Registration and Use

  • You may register and sign in using an email address, a username and password, or (where supported) a third-party account; some features may also be available in guest mode;
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your account credentials secure;
  • You confirm that the information you provide at registration is true, accurate, and complete, and you will keep it up to date;
  • Users under the age of 14 should use the App only with the consent and guidance of a parent or guardian.

3. User Content

  • Text, images, and other content you create or upload in Library, Recall, or Forum (“User Content”) remain yours;
  • To provide storage, syncing, and display functionality, you grant us the rights necessary to store, process, and display your User Content;
  • If you post content in the Forum, you agree that content may be visible to other users; do not post content that violates applicable law, infringes the rights of others, or is sexual, violent, fraudulent, or otherwise inappropriate;
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law, and may warn, restrict, or suspend accounts depending on the severity of the violation.

4. Intellectual Property

The App’s interface design, source code, icons, trademarks, and all other elements other than User Content are owned by Ebbin or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or commercially exploit them without permission.

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to, including but not limited to:

  • upload or distribute content that violates applicable law or public order and good morals;
  • infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other lawful rights of others;
  • use technical means to interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the App, or access its systems or data without authorization;
  • use the App for any fraudulent, harassing, or otherwise harmful conduct.

6. Suspension and Termination

If you materially violate these Terms, we may suspend or terminate your access to the App after notice where practicable. You may also stop using the App at any time by contacting us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your account data.

7. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is”. We will use reasonable commercial efforts to keep the service stable and secure, but we do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will fully meet your expectations. We are not responsible for service interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure, network failures, or other causes not attributable to our fault.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time as our business or applicable law requires. The revised Terms will be published in the App and take effect from the date of publication. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (mainland). Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may bring the dispute before a competent people’s court.
