Ebbin (“the App”, “we”, “us”) takes the protection of your personal information and privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your personal information when you use the App, and the rights available to you. Please read this Policy carefully before using the App. This Policy is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (mainland), including the Personal Information Protection Law and other applicable regulations.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account and Identity Information
When you register or sign in, we collect your email address or username, a securely hashed password, and any nickname or avatar you choose to set. If you use guest mode, we generate an anonymous device-linked identifier for you instead.
1.2 Study and Usage Content
The notes you create in Library, the review records generated in Recall (such as review ratings, time spent, progress, and streaks), the posts and comments you publish in Forum, and any images or other media you upload.
1.3 Device and Push Notification Information
To send you study reminders (such as the number of cards due or streak reminders), we collect a device push identifier through our third-party provider, OneSignal, and associate it with your account ID for targeted delivery.
1.4 Attribution and Marketing Information
When you install or access the App through a marketing link, we record UTM parameters (such as source channel and campaign name), the landing page URL, the referring page, your IP address, and your browser/device user-agent string. This is used to analyze the effectiveness of marketing channels and is not used to build a behavioral profile of you.
1.5 Crash and Diagnostic Information
To improve app stability, we collect technical diagnostic information at the time of a crash or error (such as device model, OS version, and stack traces) through our third-party provider, Sentry.

2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide account registration, sign-in, and identity verification;
- To store, sync, and display the notes and review data you create;
- To generate review schedules and study reminders based on your study history;
- To support publishing and displaying content in the Forum community feature;
- To diagnose, locate, and fix app issues and keep the service running reliably;
- To analyze marketing channel effectiveness and improve our product and acquisition strategy;
- To fulfil other obligations required by applicable law.
We do not use your personal information for purposes beyond those described in this Policy. If we need to change the purpose of use, we will seek your consent again.
3. How We Share Your Information
Except as described below, we do not share or sell your personal information to any third party:
- OneSignal (push notification provider) — used to send you study reminders; we share only the device push identifier and the necessary notification content;
- Sentry (crash diagnostics provider) — used to collect technical diagnostic information when the App crashes;
- Where required by law, or requested by a competent administrative or judicial authority, or necessary to protect the lawful rights of us, our users, or the public;
- Other situations where you have given your explicit prior consent.
We require the third-party providers above to take reasonable protective measures for your information within their capabilities, and to use it only to the extent necessary for the stated purpose.
4. Data Storage
We store your personal information on servers located in mainland China, for as long as you use the App and as required by applicable law. If you close your account or the App ceases operation, we will delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with applicable law.
5. Your Rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights over your personal information:
- Access and correction — you can view and edit your account profile and study content within the App;
- Deletion — you can delete notes, review records, and other content you created at any time within the App;
- Account closure — account closure currently requires an email request; we will process your personal information deletion request in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity;
- Withdrawing consent — you can disable push notification permissions in your device settings to withdraw consent to our collection of a push identifier;
- Portability — where applicable law permits, you may request a copy of your personal information.

6. Children’s Privacy
The App is primarily intended for users with full or limited civil capacity. If you are under the age of 14, please review this Policy together with a parent or guardian and use the App only with their consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without the required parental consent, we will take steps to delete it promptly.
7. Information Security
We use industry-standard technical measures (such as encrypted password storage and encrypted transmission) to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, due to technical limitations and the existence of malicious actors, we cannot guarantee that information will be 100% secure at all times.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may revise this Policy from time to time as our business or applicable law changes. The revised Policy will be published in the App, and where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in a prominent manner. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
